In 2003, a report was completed entitled, “Report on Groundwater Related Flooding Problems – Overview and Recommendations” for the Town.
This study evaluated over 20 areas of Town that experience seasonal groundwater related flooding, and recommended doable, phased, cost-effective options to minimize the impacts of groundwater related flooding.
The Board of Selectmen subsequently voted to use Roadway Management Program (RMP) funds to begin implementation of the beginning phases of the options, and the Engineering Division has been including at least one project in the RMP every year.
